Stylish Toughness and Durability

Generally with mobile PCs there is a trade-off between lightweight and durability. In VAIO Pro these contradictory needs have been remarkably balanced by fabricating the shell lid and bottom with carbon fibre specially-developed by TORAY - a Japanese leading carbon fibre manufacturer. This makes it possible to achieve a lighter weight, greater rigidity and toughness. VAIO Pro is made even stronger by using a Hexa-shell design fabricated using two-dimensional shape-forming. This special fabrication method is very difficult and can only be done by Sony and a few other select manufacturers around the world.

Excellent Quality Display

Equipped with an 11.6" or 13.3" Full HD IPS LCD panel, VAIO Pro lets you comfortably read business documents or enjoy multimedia. A TRILUMINOS Display for mobile panel generates vivid colour with high luminescence and a wide viewing angle that is easy on the eyes. The X-Reality for mobile improves and enhances video playback with realistic image quality and sharpness for pleasurable watching. VAIO Colour Enhance brings out the maximum colour range of the display to get the very best from your images and video.

Twice the Speed

VAIO Pro 13 is equipped with a high-speed mPCIe SSD to accelerate operations for an even more pleasurable computing or entertainment experience. Faster, smoother and more reliable than standard Hard Disk Drives (HDD), mPCIe is not only fast by HDD standard, it’s TWICE the speed of traditional SSD!

Batteries provide dependable power

The add-on sheet battery can extend the productivity of the Pro 11 and Pro 13 for up to 15* and 17* hours respectively.

Optimised sound in one operation with ClearAudio+ mode

ClearAudio+ music mode is an optimised sound setting that automates the sound quality adjustment process, allowing users to obtain the sound they desire. ClearAudio+ mode can also be used with headphones to improve the private listening experience and is also available in video watching mode as well.

Rapid Wake + Eco*

The Rapid Wake + Eco feature allows you to wake up your notebook from Sleep mode and resume use in two seconds or less. It also saves your data automatically when the PC is put to sleep so there is no need to worry about data loss. Rapid Wake + Eco is also energy efficient and allows VAIO Pro to retain battery power for days. Simply close the lid or press the power button to put the notebook to sleep, and then open the lid when you're ready to use it again.

VAIO Pro features a comfortable typing keyboard designed with a pleasantly sloped gap-less palm rest that gradually becomes flush with the desktop for relaxing typing, even during long work sessions.

Natural typing feel is enhanced by the full-pitch* keyboard with a responsive 1.4 mm keystroke.

"Less is more" aptly describes the design of the VAIO Pro. No unnecessary elements can be found in its elegant form. The diamond-cut hinge and hairline finish of the shell exude sophistication. Visual distractions like holes, screws, stickers, and vents have been painstakingly eliminated to achieve a clean, noiseless design. This even includes the bottom, which bears the VAIO logo and was designed to look as good as the rest of the notebook. The VAIO Pro is as stylish as it is functional.
